What is UNCON? Why did we attend?

The Unconventional (IRL) Conference is Swoogo's annual user conference for event professionals. This year, the conference was held in Portland, Oregon.

  • Learned from other Swoogo users about the innovative ways they use the platform for their specific organization.
  • Gained insight into the latest and greatest Swoogo capabilities, including updates that were not released yet.
  • Discovered new ways we could benefit from using Swoogo on our projects.
  • Had the opportunity to meet with other industry professionals from across North America.
  • Strengthened relationships with our Swoogo account team.
  • Discussed (with the CEO!) obstacles we've faced in the past with event management/registration platforms and suggested capabilities that would specifically benefit our work.

Who else attended UNCON?

There were over 12 speakers at Uncon, both from Swoogo and from users of the platform. This allowed us to learn about the features and capabilities from various perspectives - it was interesting to see how different types of organizations use the service so differently! We also got the inside scoop on future updates and what's in store for 2024. This immediately got us thinking about how we can integrate these upcoming features into our events to make our processes more efficient and streamlined.
